I was asked recently, "Why would I choose Pinnacle?"
Because...
We celebrate and encourage being different.
Being different when we started 40 years ago was not easy. Looking different was not easy. Thinking differently was not easy.
But, we wanted to do something different:
- No minimums
- All-black packaging (instead of clear or white)
- Show all races in our images
- Offer a luxury product with wholesale prices
Pinnacle, 40 years ago, started with foundations for ALL skin tones. We had posters of models of all skin tones. That was not the case with everyone else. We always believed that beauty is in the difference.
Believing that "beauty is difference" allows me to think we can all "make a difference."
Our industry thrives on our insecurities. Think about that.
What if we felt we did not NEED products, but simply enjoyed them?
If we come from a place of feeling whole and good enough, we wear lipstick, mascara, or foundation just because—not because we are less than without.
We are beautiful as we are.
That is my purpose for the next 40 years: to try to reinvent myself and hopefully help others believe that we really do not NEED anything. We are whole, and anything extra is a want.
We are truly enough as we are.
Now that is a thing of beauty!
